Support Bob Duncan's COTS Walk!
As you know, I've been a COTS Challenge Walker for many, many years, and I'm finally joining the online version of asking for your help, partly because it simplifies things, but mostly in an effort to practice sociual distancing due to the COVID-19 crisis. Please help me support COTS' mission to end homelessness by making a donation to my Virtual COTS Walk. Thank you for your support and please don't forget to share this fundraiser with any friends you think might be interested in donating.
This year the COTS Walk is going to be really different - it's going to be virtual - on Sunday, May 3, 2020. Due to the COVID-19 crisis your support is more critical than ever. Our homeless neighbors are especially vulnerable – many guests in shelter are elderly or have compromised immune systems. You cannot shelter at home when you are homeless. Even if you can self-quarantine in a shelter, you are still in very close proximity to other shelter guests, often several to a room in bunk beds.
Not only is the Walk going to be really different, but this COVID-19 crisis has created challenges for all of us, in so many different ways, and it may also be a challenge for you to help out this year, but I hope you can, in any amount you can. I am proud to help and "walk" for COTS this year – as they work to provide shelter, services, and support to our most vulnerable families and individuals during this difficult crisis.
My acceptance of the Challenge Walker means I'm committed to raising at least $1000, and hoping to double that. Thanks to the Walk sponsors, EVERY DOLLAR raised through the COTS Walk supports shelter and services for families and individuals in crisis. More information about COTS and the COTS Walk is available at cotsonline.org.
Please support me in raising money for COTS! You can write a check made out to COTS, give cash, or donate through this page right now! The process is fast, easy and secure. If you prefer, you can send your contribution to my home address: 105 Oakcrest Drive, Burlington, VT 05408.
Whatever you can give will help - it all adds up! I greatly appreciate your support and will keep you posted on my progress.
Thank you again for considering a gift of support!
Thanks so much,
Bob
